Since it's rainy, and I can't do much here in the garage, I guess I'll update what's been going on. I recently had to strip the laquer I put on my RCA Victor 96-T-1 because I saw an imperfection. That went from a one day thing to a two day issue. I used some stripper that would remove any finish, but it was a little more caustic than my skin could bare. I had a few chemical burns beause of that stuff. It ended up needing sprayed twice to get everything back off. This time, I sanded a bit different that I normally would do. I started with 180 grit, then moved to 280, then some fine steel wool. That gave the wood a very satiny feel, and it made the wood look like it glowed. I'm probably going to sand that way from now on. Anyway, I then re-stained it, and re-sprayed the laquer. So far it's looking better than it ever did.
I wish it wasn't so humid. Iit's so bad here, that I can't even sand the cabinet right now. I finally figured out what model the wooden Zenith is I have. It is a 6-S-643AT. I'm getting excited about it now. Soon as I can start working, hopefully I can recap and re-wire it and start using it. Well, more later.
